Son of Thomas and the late Rachel Halliday of Jarrow.Resided in Jarrow. (1042).

Brother of David Halliday, killed 1915, and Rees, died 1917.Brother and Sister-in-Law: Tom and Mollie.

He arrived in France on 20 (?) March 1915.
