Son of William Laws Daniels (a plater). Husband of Lily Westgarth née Liddle – daughter of James Robert Liddle (a roller) of 16 Holly Street, Jarrow (in 1911). She was born in Darlington and was 19 in 1911 – when they had been married for under a year. They were married in Good Shepherd Church, Jarrow, 11 February 1911. Witnesses: Thomas William Daniels and Sarah Daniels.
Children (all births registered in South Shields): Charles E. (September q. 1911), Sarah (December q. 1913), Lily (June q. 1915), Doris (March q. 1917) and Elsie (March q. 1922).Born in Jarrow (South Shields – June quarter 1887). Employed as a riveter (shipbuilding) in 1911. His marriage entry says he was a 23-year old boilermaker residing at 53 Wear Street, Jarrow, in February 1911.
