Royal Victoria Infirmary Coroners report Number 285, 17th June 1915.

"George Ward, aged 18 years Apprentice Turner. 1 Church Street, Jarrow. Found dead on arrival at Royal Victoria Infirmary 2.35am 16th.

Deceased was found dead on arrival at Royal Victoria Infirmary having died from injuries received by the explosion of bombs dropped from an enemy air craft into Palmers Engine Works, Jarrow the previous night."
