In Southampton (Hollybrook) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1492414 Leading Aircraftman Robert Jackson serving with 2817 Squadron, R.A.F. Regiment, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 09/06/1944.

At the going down of the sun
And in the morning we will remember them

Son of John Thomas Jackson and Janet Jackson, of Hebburn, Co. Durham.

In Hebburn Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:-

In loving memory of
my dear husband
John Thomas Jackson
who died 1st Jan. 1941 aged 60 years
also my dear son
LAC Robert Jackson R.A.F.
killed on active service
June 9th 1944 aged 26 years
Also his dear wife
Janet Jackson
who died Dec. 23rd 1957
aged 74 years
