Fenwick, H.C., L/Cpl., 1918
In Peronne Communal Cemetery Extension is the Commonwealth War Grave of 560 Lance Corporal H.C. Fenwick, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 16/06/1918.

According to the South Shields Council Minutes for 1919, Vol 47, the council had been told by his parents that that he died in June whilst a Prisoner of War. He had worked in the Borough Engineers’ Department since 1910.

He is remembered at South Shields on S86.020 and in NewcastleNUT068 page 126
