In Flatiron Copse Cemetery, Mametz, Somme, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1781 Private J.C. Hook serving with the 2nd/2nd (Northumberland) Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps who died 01/10/1916.

In Holy Trinity Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:-

In loving memory of
Henry
the beloved husband of
Elizabeth Hook
who died Sep. 9th 1920
aged 58 years
Also of (Bugler) John C. Hook
their son
who was killed in action in France
October 1 1916 aged 31 years

Also of the above

who died Dec. 10th 1924
aged 60 years
