Menin Gate Memorial

On Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial is the name of 12316 Private James D. Adams, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 31/07/1915.

According to one report he was married and lived at 40 Back Street, North Terrace. He was known as the "Ploughman Poet".

He is remembered in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 199
