Norman was the second son of William and Mary Johnson of Hutton Henry. In 1911 the family was at Hutton Henry and William is a Journeyman Mason. All four sons are at school John Millar born 1897, Norman born 1899, Percy born 1901 and Fred born 1905.
John Millar and Norman both died in World War 1.
Norman joined the 13th Durham Light Infantry and died in Italy in December 1918.
Norman Johnson is remembered at Hutton Henry on H135.01 and H135.04
