Miller, S., Sgt., 1917
In Tilloy British Cemetery, Tilloy-les-Mofflaines is the Commonwealth War Grave of 12392 Serjeant Samuel Miller, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 09/04/1917.

Denise Payne has submitted the following:

Samuel Miller is my relation. He was the son of John and Margaret Miller. He was in the 10th Battalion of the DLI and lived in Horden. He was married to Caroline Johnson and had 3 children. My uncle Samuel Miller, b.1921, told me he was named after him by his father Joseph Miller, who was Samuel’s brother.

He is remembered at Horden on H130.05 and H130.08
