Son of Frederick Jackson, and of Ellen Jackson, of Billingham.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:

F/Sgt Jackson was the pilot of de Havilland Mosquito FB. Mk. VI NS582 of 13 Operational Training Unit, which collided with another Mosquito, LR360, during a training exercise. The two aircraft were performing a practice attack on a train when they collided; NS852 crashed near Manor Farm, Tytherton, Wiltshire, with the loss of both crew members. LR360 was damaged but returned to base.
