Ramsey, P.G., Pte., 1917
In Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport is the Commonwealth War Grave of 203413 Private P.G. Ramsey, serving with the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry who died 30/07/1917.

Washington School’s Military History and European Culture Project has provided the following:

PHILIP GALBRAITH RAMSEY – King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry – 30.7.17
born in Wrekenton in 1898, enlisted in 16 Northumberland Fusiliers but was transferred to1/4 King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry before dying of wounds (the battalion reported a number of gas cases around that time) in 2 Canadian General Hospital on 30 July 1917. He was buried in Mont Huon Cemetery overlooking the Channel. Philip lived at 6 Westfield Crescent, Springwell (Poppy House).

He is remembered in Washington on W96.22
