Jesse Lee

Family photo

In Holy Trinity Churchyard is the Commonwealth War Grave of 38257 Private Jesse Lee, serving with Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 09/07/1920.

Christine Scott has submitted the following:

Jesse was my great Uncle and I've attached some info about him.

I don't think he ever served abroad. From memory (and the internet) he was based at Boldon and then moved to Sunderland. His death certificate shows he died of heart disease so I'm not sure why this wasn't picked up when he enlisted.

On the family picture Jesse is with his mother, his brother and his sister-in-law. Jesse is the young lad on the left.
