On the Runnymede Memorial is the name of 172304 Pilot Officer Robert Eugene Beadle, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 16/05/1944.

Flying Officer Beadle was serving with 625 Squadron. He was a crew member of Lancaster II LL894 CF-T which took off from Kelstern on operations over Kiel Bay as part of Operation Gardening. It is thought the aircraft was lost over the North Sea.
