A field card in her son's handwriting brought the news to Mrs. J.D. Lee of 22 Victoria Street, Sacriston, that her son, Private James Hudson Lee, is a prisoner of war in Germany. No official word has yet been received. Lee was previously reported missing from a date unknown. He had been in France in March, and before the war was employed by the Sacriston Colliery.
