W. Standring
Air Bomber
Royal Air Force
30th March 1943

Sgt. Standring was serving with 97 Sqdn. He was a crew member of Lancaster I W4175 OF-U which took off from Woodhall Spa on a mission to Berlin. It crashed 7 hours later in Coningsby killing all the crew. This was an evening when 39 aircraft crashed, with an average of 6 persons on each.
