William was born in 1912 the son of William and Rebecca Reed.
In 1939 his mother Rebecca by then a widow and his brother George B. Reed were living at 64 West Street, Grange Villa.
William married Margaret and she was living at Denton Burn Newcastle upon Tyne.
Rebecca died in 1961 aged 71 years and is buried at Pelton.
William Reed is remembered at West Pelton on W112.03
