Frederick was the son of Frederick and Margaret Oakes nee Nesbitt. They had married in 1912. Frederick born 1920 had a number of siblings, Samuel 1912-1986, Stephen 1914-1981, Charlotte 1916, Florence 1918, Margaret 1922 and Edith 1925.
Frederick Senior died 2nd December 1925. He is buried at Pelton Cemetery.
Frederick died in 1943 and is buried with his father at Pelton.
