Cooper, J., Pte., 1939-45
The Chester-le-Street Chronicle 28/06/1940 reports that Mr. and Mrs. J. Cooper, of 4 Rutland Square, had received official news that their son, Private John Cooper, had been missing since May 31st 1940. He was last seen at Warlecs, Belgium.

He was 20 years of age and had been in the Territorial Army for 2 years. He was formerly employed at the Kibblesworth Colliery.

As there is no CWGC entry for John Cooper it is assumed he survived the war.
