Pennock, T.N., Pte., 1939-45
The Chester-le-Street Chronicle 28/06/1940 reports that Mrs. Pennock, of 9 Daisy Cottages, had received official news that her son, Pte. Thomas Newell Pennock, had been missing since May 31st, 1940. He was last seen at Warlecs, Belgium.

He was 19½ years of age and had been in the Territorial Army for 12 months. He was formerly employed at the C.W.S. Tinplate Works at Birtley.

Thomas N. Pennock married in 1945.
