In Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 144970 Corporal Samuel Tulip serving with the 250th Tunnelling Company Royal Engineers who died 23/09/1917.

Son of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Tulip, of Birtley, Co. Durham.

In St. John's Churchyard is a family headstone for Tulip, which is difficult to read, but includes:
