In Durnbach War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1128211 Sergeant Robert Harrison, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 25/02/1944.

Sgt. Harrison was serving with 514 Squadron. He was a crew member of Lancaster II DS785 JI-D which took off from Waterbeach on a mission to Schweinfurt. All the crew died.

The night of 24-25th February saw the loss of 35 aircraft on the same mission. The crews of 17 died; the rest were either wounded or were taken prisoner.
