In Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel, Somme, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/1501 Able Seaman James Roger Jobling serving with the Hawke Battalion R.N. Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 13/11/1916.

Son of James and Isabella Jobling, Swalwell Co. Durham

In Whickham Garden House Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:-

Killed in action
on Nov. 13th 1916 aged 21 years
