In Mons (Bergen) Communal Cemetery, Belgium is the Commonwealth War Grave of 24278 Private Robert Stote (sic) Wilson serving with the "D" Company 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment) who died 04/11/1917.

Son of John Stote Wilson and Georgina Wilson, of 20, May Avenue, Ryton, Co. Durham. Native of Gosforth.

In Ryton Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:-
