In Point-du-Jour Military Cemetery Athies is the Commonwealth War Grave of 22/1365 Private Edward Armstrong serving with the 9th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers who died 19/05/1917.

Dorothy Hall has submitted the following:-

Edward was born at Kibblesworth the son of Joseph Armstrong.

Edward enlisted at Newburn on Tyne and joined the Northumberland Fusiliers. At some point he was attached to the Machine Gun Corps.

He died 19th May 1917 and is buried in Point-du-Jour Military Cemetery Athies.

Recipient of the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

Edward Armstrong is remembered at Kibblesworth on K23.02
