In St. John's Churchyard is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 1140587 Pilot II William Edward Cleugh serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 23/03/1947.

Son of William Edward and Dora Cleugh, of Greenside.

Aged 24 years
