In Gateshead East Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:
Of your charity pray for the repose
of the souls of
Catherine, beloved wife of John Booth
died May 14th 1920 aged 54 years.
Also John Booth
died Dec. 28th 1933 aged 77 yars.
Also their beloved son
Pte. Joseph Booth, R.I. Fusiliers
killed in action in France Jan. 27th 1917
aged 37 years.
Also Elizabeth their daughter
and beloved wife of Joseph Lytollis
died Aug. 17th 1933 aged ?49 years.
Also Curtis died October 28th 1949
Buried in Holland.

Joseph was born in Gateshead c1880 the son of John and Catherine Booth
Joseph enlisted at Gateshead and served with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers as 26063 Private Booth.
He was killed in action in 1917 and his name is on the Thiepval Memorial along with over 72,000 comrades.
