"Word has been received that Pte. Bert. Bell, who until a few months ago was an assistant at the London and Newcastle Tea Co.'s shop in High Street, has been wounded in the foot and is a prisoner of war. Pte. Bell had been reported missing for some weeks prior to receipt of this news."
