Lowerson, J., Pte., 1945

Heslop’s Local Advertiser 18/05/1946

In Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 4454443 Private John Lowerson, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 15/04/1945.

Heslop’s Local Advertiser 18/05/1946 carries an In Memoriam notice which reads:

“Lowerson – 39 Stephenson Terrace, Felling, Pte. J., 9th Bat. D.L.I. (P.O.W. Dunkirk) died April 15th, 1945 in Stalag XXA death march.”

There is another notice in the edition of 17/05/1947.
