On the Rangoon Memorial is the name of Private Henry Adams, serving with the 1st Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own) who died 12/03/1944.

Heslop's Local Advertiser 17/08/1946 carries an In Memoriam notice:

Adams, 60 Wellington Street, Felling. Pte. Henry, West Yorks Regt., killed in action in Burma on 12th March 1944.

Heslop's Local Advertiser 15/3/1947 carries:

"Adams, 60 Wellington Street, Felling, Private N. Adams, West Yorks Regt., Presumed killed in Burma on 12th March 1944." (Note the wrong initial)
