My grandmother’s first cousin, Sydney Goodfellow, born July 21st 1897 in Felling, was the youngest son of Matthew Walton Goodfellow and Sarah Barber, brother of Matthew Walton Goodfellow and Ernest Goodfellow both of whom enlisted in the Great War. His name appears on Felling Council School list of students who served but I have no details as regards his service record, he did however survive the conflict and died October 11th 1970 aged 73 years.
