Littlefair, T., Pte., 1917
In Solferino Farm Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 266053 Private Thomas Littlefair, serving with the King's (Liverpool Regiment) who died 31/10/1917.

John Taylor and Ann Norman have submitted the following:

Thomas Littlefair was born in Boyne Colliery, in Langley Moor, County Durham, in about 1884. He was the second of six children born to John and Mary Littlefair. Some time between 1901 and 1911 the family moved to live on the Long Bank, Eighton Banks. On leaving school he became a coal miner, like his father. He married Ethel Collins at St. Peter’s Church in Liverpool, her home town, on 21st June 1913.

He enlisted in Bootle, Liverpool, and served as a Private with 7th Battalion, The King’s (Liverpool) Regiment, regimental number, 266053. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 31st October 1917. He is buried in plot: I. D. 25 at Solferino Farm Cemetery, Ypres, West Flanders, Belgium. He was the brother in law of Vincent Chisholm who is also remembered on the memorial in St. Thomas Church.

He is remembered in Eighton Banks on E50.01 and E50.02
