Heslop’s Local Advertiser 18/1/1947

In Phaleron War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 14211337 Private Edmund Defter, serving with the Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) who died 05/01/1945.

Heslop’s Local Advertiser 18/01/1947 carries an In Memoriam notice which reads:

>“Defter, Bill Quay. Edmund, died of wounds, Greece, Jan. 5th 1943, aged 21.”
