In Salerno War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 102391 Lance Corporal Henry Heighway, serving with the 111th Provost Company, Corps of Military Police who died 25/10/1943.

Henry Heighway was the son of George Henry and Martha Heighway; husband of Elizabeth Heighway, of Bill Quay, Gateshead, Co. Durham.

His death was reported in the Heslop's Local Advertiser: "Heighway - Bill Quay. Henry Killed in action Oct. 25, 1943; Peter, died active service July 26, 1941."

In Memoriam notices appear in editions of 16/11/1946 and 15/11/1947
