27th January 1943 age 21

He answered the call

Sgt. Tarran was serving with 21 OTU. He was a crew member of Wellington IC P9240 which took off on a training flight from Moreton-in-Marsh on a cross-country exercise. It is thought that the aircraft flew down through cloud cover and hit the ground. There were no survivors.
