George Bryan was the son of Anthony and Mary Ann Hodgson who was born 10/08/1893 at Etherley. In 1911 the family are at Wales Field Farm Cockfield and George is a Wagon Boy at the local Co-operative Store.
George enlisted at Newcastle 27/01/1916 when he was working as a warehouse man and was killed in France 20/05/1917.
George Bryan Hodgson is remembered at High Etherley on H127.01 and H127.02 and at Lynesack L70.02
