Sgt. Hodgson was the Navigator on Handley Page Hampden TB.1 AT114 GX-D of 415 (R.C.A.F.) Squadron which as lost on an anti-shipping operation off the Norwegian coast. The Squadron O.R.B. (Operational Record Book) Form 541 records that all four crew were listed as missing, and their names are listed on the Runnymede Memorial.
