Hancock, F., Pte., 1918
On Vis-en-Artois Memorial is the name of 20/288 Private Fred Hancock, serving with the Durham Light Infantry, who died 24/10/1918.

H.J.M. has submitted the following:

Fred was born in Escomb on May 3rd, 1896 and lived with his parents Thomas and Sarah until his death. Initially living in Wear Terrace, Escomb, the family later moved to Escomb Road in Bishop Auckland.
