In Vivieres Communal Cemetery, Aisne, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1515147 Sergeant Arnold Walker, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 23/04/1944.

Sgt. Walker was killed when Short Stirling III EF159 WP-B of 90 Sqn was lost on a mission to bomb railway yards at Laon. The Stirling was shot down by a Luftwaffe night-fighter flown by Oblt. Dietrich Schmidt of III./NJG1, and crashed between Mortefontaine and Vivieres, with the loss of all seven crew members.

Stirling EF159 WP-B had departed Tuddenham at 2220 for Ops Laon

It was intercepted at 2800M above Morte-Fontaine. 40km SW of Laon by a Night-Fighter captained by Nacht Jagd “Experten” Oblt Dietrich Schmidt (VIII/NJG1) and shot down at 0026 for his 18th Abschuss
