J. Warin
Yorkshire Regiment
7th September 1916 Age 32

The following has been extracted from St. Mary’s Church Newsletter No. 2 for October 1919, in which his name is given as "Waring"
Private John Waring
90, Middle Row, Freehold; 9th Yorkshire Regiment, died at Woolwich of wounds, received at Battle of Somme, 6th September, 1916, after 2 years’ service; interred at West Rainton; aged 32 (leaves widow and three children).

Soldiers Died in the Great War also gives his name as "Waring".

John Warin is remembered in West Rainton on W113.02 and W113.05
