In La Kreule Military Cemetery, Hazebrouck is the Commonwealth War Grave of 30467 Lance Corporal George Frederick Clark, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 29/09/1918.

The following has been extracted from St. Mary’s Church Newsletter No. 2 for October 1919.
Lance-Corporal George Frederick Clark
Garden Cottages, Front Street, West Rainton; 18th Durhams, died of wounds 29th September 1918, after 2˝ years’ service; aged 25 (leaves widow and one child).
