Son of Joseph and Ethel Herron, of Rugby, Warwickshire.

In Brandon (Meadowfield) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:-

In loving memory of
my dearest husband
Joseph Herron
who died 6th Aug.1972

Also our darling son
Joseph
Killed on active service
5th (sic) May 1944 aged 18 years
