In Struma Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 28/677 Private Thomas Thompson, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 10/9/1916.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born in Brancepeth and enlisted in Blyth.

Thomas Thompson is remembered in the Battalion History where his initial is given as "C. Thompson". Both CWGC and SDGW give his first initial as T. It is difficult, without further knowledge, to find out where else his name may appear.
