In Gommecourt British Cemetery No.2, Hebuterne is the Commonwealth War Grave of 101377 Private Thomas Farrow, serving with the Machine Gun Corps (Cavalry) who died 30/03/1918.

In Kirk Merrington Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:-

He was the son of William and Jane Farrow and lived at South View Middlestone, Merrington, Ferryhill on the 1911 Census. He is recorded as working on a farm in Middlestone on this census.
