In Stanley New Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 104471 Private Henry Stobbart serving with the Depot, Durham Light Infantry who died 24/02/1921.

The headstone reads:-

In
loving memory of
Henry
husband of Florence Stobbart
who died Feb. 24th 1921 aged 38 years
Also James their son accidentally killed
Nov. 2nd 1915 aged 7 years 5 months
Also Mattie their son who died suddenly
May 15th 1916 aged 2 years 7 months

Husband of Florence Stobbart, of 4, Tollgate Terrace, Catchgate.

Henry Stobbart is not remembered on a local War Memorial.
