He married, at Farnham, Surrey, Elfriedie Brener. She lived at 1, Greta Place, Lanchester and died in 1948. She was buried in Lanchester Kitswell Road Cemetery.
A Michael O'Brien was living at 4, Percy Place, Lanchester in 1931.
Michael's father, John Robert died in March 1940 and his mother, Catherine of 1, Greta Place died January 1945. Both are buried in Lanchester Kitswell Road Cemetery.
