Dorothy Hall has submitted the following:-

Vera Mace, the daughter of Vernon and Alice, nee Winter, of Malton Colliery, was born in 1913. She had a number of siblings: Ruth Lilian 1904, Robert Eric 1906, Edna 1909, Vernon 1911, Norman 1916, Arthur 1918 and Joyce 1926.

In September 1939, Vernon Senior was a Coke Yard Foreman and his family were living at 11 Officials Row, Malton Colliery.

Vera died 20th January 1942 at Catterick. Her father Vernon Mace died in 1943.

Vera Mace is remembered at Lanchester on L62.01 and L62.06
