Hateley, T.B., Pte., 1942
In Akureyri Cemetery, Iceland, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 478004 Private Thomas Bernard Hateley serving with the York and Lancaster Regiment who died 26/01/1942.

Next of kin was his mother Mrs Willis of 52 Harelaw Gardens Annfield Plain.

"He suffered a fractured skull in a 15 cwt truck accident at 11.00 hrs near Horga Suspension Bridge in Northern Iceland. He died three days later in no 81 General Hospital as 23.35 hrs without regaining consciousness."
