Christopher Reed Bowes was born 30th June 1909 at Kyo, Durham. He also lived in Dipton and is not known to have lived anywhere as a boy other than Annfield Plain area.
He enlisted into Army possibly at Newcastle upon Tyne. He was wounded at Driffield Airfield, Yorkshire, when a plane crashed on top of him. He died in Sedgefield Hospital 2 Feb 1941.
Christopher Reed Bowes is not remembered on a local War Memorial.
