PRUDHOE

Silent soldier silhouette
Four silent soldier silhouettes, produced by the Royal British Legion, have been bought by the Parish Council and placed at the entrances to Prudhoe and one in the church yard beside the lychgate.

The Hexham Courant 9/8/2018 reports that one, situated at the western gateway to the town, had been vandalised. The pieces had been collected and used as a template to help with the design of a replacement made from plywood, created by a villager, who is a joiner.
