Cassock: G.A. Wright, D.F.M.
One of the cassocks is dedicated to George Anthony Wright, a former navigator with 61 Sqdn. R.A.F. Underneath is the legend:

George Wright was born in Bishop Auckland. He had been awarded the D.F.M. after being involved in the attack on the German Battleship Tirpitz. He was shot down in flames and taken prisoner. After the war he moved to Wooler and was a primary school teacher. He was a member of the Borders Gliding Club at the former RAF station at Milfield.

He wrote his memoirs in a private publication entitled Wilbur and the Imps Go To War
